Privacy policy
We are pleased that you are visiting the Franziskustreff-Stiftung website and thank you for your interest in our foundation. The protection of your personal data when it is collected, processed and used during your visit to our website and when you use our services is important to us. Your data is protected in accordance with the statutory provisions. Below you will find information on what data is collected during your visit to the website and when you use our services, on what legal basis and how it is processed. We also inform you about your rights in connection with the processing of your personal data.
1. subject matter of data protection
The subject matter of data protection is personal data. According to Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR, this is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, information such as name, postal address, e-mail address or telephone number, but may also include usage data such as your IP address.
2. lawfulness of the processing of personal data
We only process personal data in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. This means that the data will only be processed if legal authorisation or consent has been obtained. For data processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific purpose, Art. 6 I letter a) GDPR serves as the legal basis. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract, such as membership or purchase, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. b GDPR. The same applies to such processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, for example in cases of enquiries about membership or products. In the case of a legal obligation to process data, in particular storage for the fulfilment of tax obligations, Art. 6 letter c) GDPR is the legal basis. Finally, processing operations may be based on Art. 6 I letter f) GDPR. Processing operations that are not covered by any of the aforementioned legal bases are based on this legal basis if the processing is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests or those of a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail. If the processing of personal data is based on Article 6 I lit. f GDPR, our legitimate interest is the performance of our association activities. We take organisational, contractual and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of data protection laws are complied with and to protect the data managed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.
3. data processing
The Franziskustreff-Stiftung processes the data that you provide when you visit our website and use our services (e.g. name, address, telephone number, e.g. when participating in surveys, ordering publications, registering for an event or subscribing to the newsletter). Data processing includes, in particular, the collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, use, disclosure by transmission and erasure of personal data by automated means. When you visit our website, the device you use to access the page automatically transmits log data (connection data) to our servers. Log data includes, for example, the IP address of the device you use to access the website. We only store IP addresses if this is necessary for documentation purposes and to prevent misuse. The IP addresses are deleted within a reasonable period of time.
4. use and disclosure of personal data
If you commission us to provide a service or send you publications, your personal data will only be used without separate consent to the extent necessary for the provision of the service or fulfilment of the contract. This includes in particular the forwarding of your data to transport companies, credit companies or other service providers used to provide the service or fulfil the contract. Once the contract has been fully processed, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the tax and commercial law regulations, unless you have expressly consented to any further use of your data.
The Franziskustreff-Stiftung only discloses data to authorities and third parties in accordance with the statutory provisions or a court order. Information may be provided to authorities on the basis of a statutory provision for the purpose of averting danger or for criminal prosecution. Third parties only receive information if this is required by law. Stored personal data will be deleted if you withdraw your consent to its storage, if knowledge of it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.
a) Newsletter
If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we require your e-mail address and confirmation that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. This data is only collected for the purpose of sending you the newsletter and documenting our authorisation to do so. The data will not be passed on to third parties. You can revoke your subscription to the newsletter and your consent to the storage of your e-mail address at any time.

Facebook Insights
Data protection notice for visitors to this site who are not registered/logged in to Facebook
Facebook stores a cookie on your computer when you access this page, which may be used to track your behaviour on the Internet. If you do not agree to this, delete the cookies stored in your browser after you have left a Facebook page. Alternatively, you can generally prohibit websites from storing cookies on your computer in your browser settings (see the "Help" section of your browser).
This cookie is also stored on your computer if you click on a Facebook "Like" button on other websites. Facebook also stores your current IP address when you visit a Facebook page or another website with a "Like" button. This can potentially also be used to temporarily track your surfing behaviour. The storage of cookies is not subject to our influence and is controlled exclusively by Facebook.
Data protection notice for visitors registered and logged in to Facebook
When you log in to Facebook, a cookie is stored on your PC that uniquely identifies you. Facebook is thus able to track all your activities on Facebook and your journey through the Internet, for example via websites with "Like" buttons.
- It is not known what data Facebook stores about its users and exactly how it uses this data. However, you have the right to obtain information from Facebook about your stored data(ww.europe-v-facebook.org/DE/en.html).
- Facebook not only saves your entries, but also all your other actions on Facebook.
- Even if you delete your content (images, messages, comments, likes) on Facebook, this data remains stored on Facebook's servers. Even if you delete your account, Facebook will retain your saved data.
- Facebook can determine which computer you are using and how it is configured. Your current IP address is also transmitted.
- Most "Like" buttons on third-party websites allow Facebook to track your journey through the internet if you have not logged out of Facebook beforehand. Handle your data with care. Remember that all your messages, pictures and comments remain stored on Facebook's servers.
If you do not want Facebook to track your surfing behaviour, log out after every Facebook session. Delete the cookies stored on your computer or set your browser so that this happens automatically when you close your browser (please refer to the "Help" function of your browser). Another option is to use a separate browser for Facebook. For example, if you normally use Microsoft's Internet Explorer to surf the Internet, only use an alternative browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera or similar for Facebook.
You can find the agreement on data protection responsibility here: www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum
e) Use of the Twitter buttons
Our website uses the buttons of the Twitter service. These buttons are offered by Twitter Inc, 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They are recognisable by terms such as "Twitter" or "Follow", combined with a stylised blue bird. With the help of the buttons, it is possible to share a post or page of this website on Twitter or to follow the provider on Twitter.
When a user accesses a web page of this website that contains such a button, their browser establishes a direct connection with the Twitter servers. The content of the Twitter buttons is transmitted by Twitter directly to the user's browser. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Twitter collects with the help of this plugin and informs users according to its level of knowledge. According to this, only the IP address of the user and the URL of the respective website are transmitted when the button is accessed, but are not used for purposes other than displaying the button.
Further information on this can be found in Twitter's privacy policy at www.twitter.com.
f) Instagram
Functions of the Instagram service are integrated on our pages. These functions are offered by Instagram Inc, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram.
Further information on this can be found in Instagram's privacy policy: www.instagram.com.
g) Application processes
We process the data provided in the application process. The legal basis is Art. 88 GDPR i.V.m. § Section 26 BDSG (new).
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website. You will then be returned to this page: : Deactivate Google Analytics.

Cookies are small identifiers that our server sends to the device you use to access our website or our services. We use permanent and session cookies. You can set your browser so that it informs you before cookies are set or blocks the setting of cookies. You may then not be able to use certain functions.
7. user rights and deletion of data
Users have the right to request information free of charge about the personal data that we have stored about them.
In addition, users have the right to correct incorrect data, revoke consent, block and delete their personal data as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in the event of the assumption of unlawful data processing.
The data stored by us will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations.
