The Franziskustreff offers this support to homeless people and those affected by poverty. Every working day and Christian holiday.
In the Federal Voluntary Service (Bufdi) or Voluntary Social Year (FSJ), you are on duty: when the homeless and poor guests have breakfast. You serve them directly in the square. You are in direct contact with them. That's why it's particularly important to be open, sensitive and understanding of the special circumstances of homeless and poor people.
The guests are also active themselves: they often see our programme as a forum for themselves. Because on the street, few people have an open ear for their everyday worries.

Your work with us offers you a lot of variety. On the one hand, there are housekeeping tasks such as preparing breakfast, filling plates, serving drinks, shopping, tidying up, washing up and cleaning. On the other hand, we plan and organise parties and holidays together for the homeless and poor guests. You can contribute your ideas. Also for our message to the outside world: you support our public relations work. And at least as important as independent, motivated work and serving coffee is that you help shape our everyday life - and therefore that of our guests. Have a chat, lend a sympathetic ear, simply enjoy working at the Franziskustreff. Because this joy is infectious - and that's great! And: we grow together. Because the whole team of volunteers and employees provides support. They are always there for you. They provide answers to problems and questions. Always.
