Offering an open door

When it gets dark, homeless people in Frankfurt set up camp for the night. In covered underground stations, somewhat more sheltered shop entrances or on warming ventilation shafts. Some live in parks and forests all year round - under plastic tarpaulins and in makeshift self-built structures. Around ten per cent of Frankfurt's homeless are women. What they have in common is the feeling of being totally marginalised. The feeling that makes it so difficult to find a dry, warm and free place to stay overnight. we want to change this for the better and are working on it - thanks to donations from benefactors that directly benefit our guests.

Working in a team provides support

Our commitment is supported by a team of full-time employees - with very different qualifications.

It is not always easy for us employees to be confronted with the tough fates of our guests. But working in a team gives us support. Right from the start, we have the reassuring feeling that we will always find a sympathetic ear if we have any problems or questions. If we have suggestions for improvement, these are gladly accepted.

Bring your professional experience and talents to us!

With your commitment, you are doing something good for yourself and others. We know from our employees that their motives for working for us are as unique as the people themselves. And yet there are similarities: Our employees enjoy getting to know people. They appreciate being able to participate in the lives of our guests and offer them help. And they enjoy the outstanding team spirit and good fellowship at the Franziskustreff - a place of refuge amidst the gleaming skyscrapers of the financial metropolis.
