Help that has washed up

"This is my contribution to helping homeless people," says Sister Bernarde. The Franciscan sister, who comes from Aachen, provides the Franziskustreff with a kind of warm-hearted administrative assistance: she does the laundry for the housekeeping department on a voluntary basis. In return, the Capuchins in Frankfurt organise the church services for the Franciscan nuns.

A win-win for everyone.

"Every Tuesday, we get our really many aprons, drying cloths and tablecloths from the Franciscan centre back freshly laundered. That is pricelessly kind," says Brother Michael.
