Bread and dignity: served at the table.

A warm welcome: Homeless and needy people have breakfast at the Franziskustreff.

Anyone who takes a seat with us is served personally - Monday to Saturday and on Christian holidays from 7:45 to 11:15. We serve up to 180 guests freshly brewed coffee or tea for breakfast. And, depending on your preference, a plate of sausage, cheese or, completely vegan, fresh vegetables to go with the bread, homemade jam and chocolate fudge. Just like in a café. Like in a better life. Every working day of the week. And if you want, you can pack yourself something. Including a nut croissant. Or similar tasty extras.

We can offer all this because sixty volunteers are involved. Four of them are on duty every day and donate their time. Others donate money. We call them benefactors.

Our guests give their contribution as a matter of course: fifty cents. And this hospitable start to the day encourages some to talk to the social counselling service. After all, this is also part of the Treff: for a step forward back into society.

Brother Michael
„The fifty cents is a symbolic amount. This is very important to many of our guests so that they are not in need.“
Brother Michael Wies, Head of the Franziskustreff

Donations

Donations are what make our work most successful. However, if you would like to donate food directly to us, you can also make our guests happy. We ask that you bear a few things in mind:

We are happy to receive anything that enriches the breakfast for our guests. This could be homemade jam and cakes, fresh fruit and vegetables or even coffee. Perhaps butter or yoghurt. Cold cuts and cheese are also welcome. Or fresh bread rolls. Hard-boiled eggs are also welcome.
Unfortunately, we cannot use loose tea, honey or foods containing alcohol, such as chocolates or cakes containing alcohol. And importantly, the best-before date must be up to date for industrially packaged food. In addition, the packs must not have been opened, but must still be completely sealed. Another point - we only have limited space. So please call our breakfast room before dropping off your food:

Phone 069 29729613, Monday to Saturday between 7:00 am and 12:00 pm

Because our team can reliably tell you whether and how much we can accept. After all, nothing should go to waste! By the way: If you would like a donation receipt, please have an invoice for your purchase ready. Thank you!

GOOD CLOTHES: ACCEPT OTHERS!

We create a lot. But in a very small space. That's why we can't store, accept and distribute clothing. However, other organisations in Frankfurt are happy to accept good clothing for homeless and poor people. For all those who would like to donate anything from jackets to trousers - here are the contacts for the collection points in our city:
